Born and raised in Bushwick, Brooklyn during the 80’s & 90’s I saw my share of poverty, crime, and drugs. I grew up in a two-bedroom railroad apartment with my mom and older brother. No AC in the summer and no hot water or heat in the winter. Mom worked, went to school, and made sure we were taken care of. Most importantly, she prayed. She prayed every morning.
I’m the product of a mom who never stopped praying. She prayed me away from the streets. She prayed me away from drugs. She kept me close and she kept me plugged in to the local church. I was a Royal Ranger. I joined the youth group. I learned to play guitar and even met my wife at church. Even when I was a 19 year old youth leader with a pregnant girlfriend, my mom prayed me back to Jesus.
Whether its been impacting young people through the youth and young adult ministries we founded at our local church or impacting youth throughout the NY/NJ Metro region with Elim Fellowship, or impacting schools as a high school campus director with Cru, my heart has been always been to “Serve God, My Church, and My Fellow Man.”
Today, my wife, Millie and I pastor Abundant Life Assembly in Brooklyn. We’re joined by our four daughters; Amanda, Lizzie, Sophia, and Emma. We still do youth and young adults ministry, ministering at events and conferences. However, God has seen fit to expand our territory as we now minister to men, women, couples, and children through our local church and throughout New York City.
